Screw Conveyors

Newell Machinery Screw Conveyors are designed to convey fairly free flowing products, granular materials, etc from an inlet source to a discharge point in a mostly horizontal orientation. They are a fairly simple design with a screw helix mounted on a central pipe which rotates to push material along the bottom and sides of a trough. Screw conveyors are very efficient but do lose their efficiency as they are inclined.

Standard Sizing Chart

Standard U-Trough / Flared Trough: These types of screw conveyors are the most common types built. They can often be built from standard, off-the-shelf parts, but also can be customized to fit virtually any need. View Example

Tube Screw: Tube screw conveyors are often used in situations that require a highly cost effective method of conveying product at inclines since they are fully (100%) loaded to reduce fall back of material. View Example

Twin/Triple/Quad/Live Bottom Bin Screws: Multiple screw conveyors combined in one trough are often used to convey difficult flowing products from bins, discharge from large openings that have small amounts of headroom available, or numerous other reasons. View Example
